I didn't know about croup so I did not have any knowledge about it. The doctor prescribed steroids. I gave him one dose today before I was able to do any research on croup. Now this year we seem to have a bit of the same - but worse. They helped again, although didn't kick it quite as quickly this time around. We found my daughter's is 25% smaller than normal after she was intubated for croup at 9 months. It came out of nowhere.
