Am I not allowed to pattern the mind and character of my son? Can I not shape him from a young age mentally? So why not a small tat that helps him have an identity? This is a clear case of state overreach. I personally think tatoos are unattractive but it's not my business what another man does with his son. I'm not saying life in prison is a proper recourse, but there should certainly be a minimum age for tattooing and piercing that ensures it is truly the individual's choice. People do not own other people's bodies--period.
