I could barely sit down for a week without intense pain. I assumed that's how it always was until I had my second. I tore with both ( even after the episiotomy) but the second was nothing compared to my first. I tore down with the first and up (toward the urethra) Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31180029.post-14795394886203379842012-02-22T05:32:11.961-05:002012-02-22T05:32:11.961-05:00It should also be mentioned how extremely rare thi...It should also be mentioned how extremely rare this condition is and how often women are told that their pelvis is too small when it really is just fine. :-/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31180029.post-21478526956092233552012-02-22T05:31:07.078-05:002012-02-22T05:31:07.078-05:00One thing that I didn't see listed that also l...One thing that I didn't see listed that also leads to episiotomies and lead to mine is Artificial Rupture of Membranes. That's going to up your chances of fetal distress so much and it doesn't help speed up labor at all. Another myth we all need to help dispel. I wish I had known. I tore after my episiotomy too so I can't say they prevent any tearing!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31180029.post-1424119913301403352011-12-16T18:12:59.820-05:002011-12-16T18:12:59.820-05:00Re: reasons for episiotomy, surely if the baby wil...Re: reasons for episiotomy, surely if the baby will not progress past zero station because of a true cephalo pelvic disproportion, then an episiotomy will not make any difference as the baby will still be high and not be birthed vaginally?? Once the baby is at the perineum (at the time that the episiotomy should be performed if truly necessary) it will have passed zero station.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31180029.post-1912955782459881582011-01-20T21:14:05.372-05:002011-01-20T21:14:05.372-05:00so much misinformation in the section, 'when i...so much misinformation in the section, 'when is an episiotomy necessary?' !!
please review these, they are very misguidedemilynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31180029.post-65513819104658260832010-06-27T21:05:09.972-04:002010-06-27T21:05:09.972-04:00I just wanted to comment that Kegel exercises are ...I just wanted to comment that Kegel exercises are NOT the most important thing to do to keep your pelvic floor healthy and avoid damage to the perineum, but stretching the hamstrings to achieve proper pelvic alignment is important.

http://mamasweat.blogspot.com/2010/05/pelvic-floor-party-kegels-are-not.html

Here's an article you can check out that explains it much JillianEvehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15961933242335912873noreply@blogger.com
