REAL MEN WEAR BABIES

REAL MEN WEAR BABIES
Our 2010 mosaic, put together by Danelle Frisbie, is made from 729 photos of babywearing fathers and grandfathers that were sent to us.

Last September, during International Babywearing Week, we asked peaceful parenting dads to send us their babywearing photos. There was such an outstanding response from men around the world, that we'd like to highlight some of the babywearin' fathers and grandfathers here. It is outstanding to see you gently caring for your little ones in a baby-friendly fashion. Keep up the excellent fathering!

It will take some time to get all photos uploaded, but we will continue to add a few more daily, so bookmark this page and check back!

If you have a photo you'd like to add to our gallery, send to: Born2BWorn @ gmail .com

Please Note: Each of these photos was taken by, or given to, peaceful parenting for the exclusive purpose of being used on DrMomma.org. 1. These pictures speak the proverbial 1000 words each. I couldn't help but think back to when I had my own children. I was a small woman and had to very large boys, my daughter was tiny. My oldest was 8.5 pounds and the youngest was 9.5 pounds. By the time they were 3 months old (breastfed babies in a time when breastfeeding was NOT popular) my back hurt trying to carry or pack them around. Dad's are just stronger it makes so much natural sense! Besides they love spending their time with daddy! Great pics and I LOVE your blog!

  4. I don't have pictures, but my husband did and my son-in-law does. Dad's don't need to bottle feed their babies, they can bond just as nicely by wearing them.

  6. The pictures are great.I know a lot of fathers who will really love to lay their hands on these pictures ,do as the objects in the them have done and shoe the whole world with pride.

these are truly proud fathers who are not afraid to be called any name.

They are the PRIDE of Fatherhood.

  10. Sooo cute. Cracks me up the wide variety of things Dads do while babywearing (like the sleeping one? Hilarious! As is the dad showing off his muscles)

  12. I am expecting my second child...our first was a "sling baby". This pics make me nostalgic for the days when our girl was younger...and anxious for our new baby to be in "dad's pocket" aka the New Native sling.

    Very beautiful
    thanks

  20. This makes me emotional. I am second time dad 3 year old girl and 5 months old girl. I help deliver both of my daughters from the womb. I wear my children with pride. When I was visiting the south for the Holidays. I was always wearing my 5 months old in public. I would get smiles from the women and glares from the men. I would also go so far say I have done a double ergo; Toodler on the back and baby in the front.

  26. You know it's funny that a guy will carry around his baby girl in a pink flower carseat, but god forbid he wear her in a pink floral baby carrier...
