Labor-aide Drink Recipe for Birth

The following is a power-packed drink recipe from Gloria Lemay for sipping your electrolytes through the birth process.

Labor-Aide

  • 1 qt. (or litre) water
  • 1/3 c. honey or real, quality Canadian Maple Syrup
  • 1/3 c. juice from real lemons
  • 1/2 t. sea salt
  • 2 crushed calcium tablets
  • pinch of cayenne

Gloria's directions: Put a little hot water on the calcium to make it easier to crush. It’s okay to use cal/mag/VitD tablets if that’s what you have on hand. Stir all together and dilute to a mother's taste as she goes through her birth. It is nice warmed up for a post birth drink, too!

Enjoy ~ and Happy Birthing Day!
