New Ways to Improve Your Health

We’re all interested in better health. We’ve tried this vitamin or that vitamin, this shake or that shake, this exercise routine or that exercise routine. Sometimes, something works great for a friend, and we try it. It’s nice, but it doesn’t work the wonders for us that it did for them. Sometimes, we find a health challenge on our own, sure it’s going to work, but we fail to keep it up consistently. Some health challenges are brutal! When it comes to getting better health, we feel like we’ve been there, done that. To us, it feels like we’ve tried everything, and there’s no reasonable, realistic way to experience better health. There just isn’t.

The good news is, there are always new things to try to improve our health. Sometimes, that can feel like it’s bad news, too--with so many, and so many that don’t really work--how do we know what’s really best for us? Without further ado, here are four new ways to improve your health that might actually (finally) work.

CBD Oil

What the heck is that? Is that an essential oil? While you might be leery of any new natural health ventures, CBD oil keeps getting more to back it up. Made from the cannabis plant (but, unlike marijuana, it doesn’t have any psychoactive properties--we promise) CBD oil is filled with some of the best plant power in the world. It’s currently being used in research by the US government, so it’s caught the eye of leading scientists. While not as tested as your pharmacy-aisle health aid, CBD oil could provide a much-needed health boost to your lifestyle.

Chia Seeds

Apparently, ancient Mayan warriors claimed they could go an entire day with only one spoonful of this stuff. Chia seeds are small gray seeds, sort of like miniscule pebbles. Sprinkle them on your salad, top your muffins in them, and use them to make easy overnight pudding and jam. Snacking with these little guys regularly could leave you feeling way better--since they contain insane amounts of omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants, iron, fiber, and calcium.

Balance Your Hormones

Guy or girl, your hormones might be out of whack. Women especially are at risk for imbalanced hormones--and studies suggest that 80% of women have imbalanced hormones. Life is hard enough as it is--we don’t need to be dealing with extra mood and physical repercussions. While it can be a little risky to balance your testosterone with actual testosterone, there are a few natural ways to start balancing your hormones, so consult a pharmacist soon.

Update Your Bedding

So simple, you’ll wish you thought of it earlier. Most of us don’t get as good a night’s sleep as we should for fully productive living. If you wish your slumber were more sound, you can head to your nearest mattress store and start upgrading your bed. A better pillow, a better mattress, and even a better comforter can help you start sleeping more soundly each night.
